Declan glances at his watch for the second time in ten minutes, making a mental note to stop, because that isn't making time go any faster. At least he can use this time to think. Which is probably something he should have done a while ago, before he started flirting with Adam through text.
He knows this is a bad idea, and that makes it all the more fun. Everyone who knows him does tell him he should go have some more fun, so here he is, thinking about what all might go down this weekend with Adam in town.
He really hopes the other boy came up with a grand excuse for coming up here alone, because the last thing ne needs is Ronan losing his absolute shit over this. It's nothing, he'd like likely tell Ronan. But he's honestly not really sure what this is. All he knows is that all those times he showed up at Monmouth, or Nino's or hovered near Ronan in the halls of Aglionby, Adam had been there and Declan had this quiet urge. He's pretty sure Ronan has that urge too, so maybe this is shitty, but it's not like anyone who knows him expects him to be anything other than shitty anyway.
He has his moments.
Declan finishes his cup of coffee and goes to order two more- one more for him and one for Adam- and a bag of pastries, then heads back to his apartment so he doesn't end up drinking the coffee shop's entire supply of coffee before the other boy's arrival. He's usually not this nervous, he's always got things under control, but this? Adam is different. Declan doesn't know him, not really. But he'd like to. Or something. He had considered getting a hotel room, but he didn't think Adam would like that much, so his place it is.
